Alaties Beach

This unspoiled paradise is a hidden treasure, reachable only by a 15-minute walk through a shaded cypress forest. The beach’s secluded charm, combined with its azure waters, makes it a magical experience. Keep an eye out for monk seals, as this is one of their preferred resting spots.

Just a 15-minute drive from Katsarata, Myrtos Beach is an absolute must-see. Enclosed by steep limestone cliffs, this world-famous beach is consistently ranked among Europe’s top beaches. The two-kilometre stretch of white pebbles and crystal-clear turquoise waters offers spectacular views that seem straight out of a postcard. Whether you're lounging on the sunbeds or taking a refreshing swim in the sea, the beach’s beauty is bound to leave a lasting impression.  Tip: To avoid the crowds, head to Myrtos early in the morning or later in the evening when the light casts magical hues on the water and the beach is much quieter.

Fiscardo

On the northern tip of Kefalonia, Fiskardo is one of the island’s most enchanting spots – a delightful blend of natural beauty, rich history, and old-world charm. Unlike most other villages on the island, Fiskardo was spared from the devastating earthquake of 1953, which means it retains much of its traditional Venetian architecture. With its pastel-coloured buildings, cobblestone streets, and charming harbour, Fiscardo offers visitors a rare glimpse into the past. This is a famed stop for yachts cruising through the Ionian Sea, and you’ll often see a variety of luxury vessels bobbing gently in the crystal-clear waters. Despite its popularity, Fiskardo largely retains its peaceful atmosphere, thanks to its size and subtle charm. The waterfront is lined with cafés, tavernas, and chic restaurants where you can enjoy a leisurely seafood feast. There are also boutiques to shop for handmade crafts.  Just a short walk or boat ride from the village, Fiskardo is home to some of Kefalonia’s most secluded, serene and that’s not to mention spectacular, beaches. These quiet coves, often accessible only by foot or boat, offer an idyllic spot to relax in the sun, swim in the sparkling blue waters, and enjoy the peace and quiet away from the busier tourist areas.
